In Speyer, we joined a guided tour tailored for guests with limited mobility, exploring historic landmarks. The evening’s lobster dinner was a highlight, offering a chance to reflect on our adventures and share a spirited game of cribbage.

Strasbourg’s Mercedes-Benz Factory was a dream for my car-enthusiast dad. In the Black Forest, I biked while my dad visited a cuckoo clock workshop, enjoying his solo adventure.

Our final stop, Basel, Switzerland, captivated us. We extended our stay to celebrate my dad’s 90th birthday with a special dinner at Walliser Kanne. Exploring Basel’s old town and witnessing locals floating in the river was a treat.
